Thomas knows that Wicked can't be trusted, but they say the time for lies is over, that they've collected all they can from the Trials and now must rely on the Gladers, with full memories restored, to help them with their ultimate mission. It's up to the Gladers to complete the blueprint for the cure to the Flare with a final voluntary test.
What Wicked doesn't know is that something's happened that no Trial or Variable could have foreseen. Thomas has remembered far more than they think. And he knows that he can't believe a word of what Wicked says.
The time for lies is over. But the truth is more dangerous than Thomas could ever imagine. Will anyone survive the Death Cure?
This is one of my favorite series and the third book didn't disappoint. Where the first book is all about the mystery, the second all about who to be trusted, the third one was all about the action. I didn't know once what was going to happen and I was on the edge of my seat. This series is so different and unique and I love James Dashner's 'to the point'-writing style.
In this book we grow closer to the characters that were introduced in the Scorch Trials, but the old characters were still in the picture. I'm a sucker for Minho and there was more than enough of him in the book (for all of you who are fan of him too). I grew to like Brenda more, but in my heart I was still rooting for Theresa. In the end, though, I was happy with the ending of the book. It was how it was supposed to be, even though some of the events in the book broke my heart.
I also really liked Thomas. I know that some of you don't really like him, because he doesn't really show emotions, but that's just him. Sometimes that annoyed me in the Death Cure, but it is also what makes him braver and stronger. Overall I really love his character (but not as much as Minho's!)
This book and the Maze Runner were my favorite out of the series and I definitely recommend the Death Cure. If you ask me, this is a 5 star serie for sure! I can't wait for the prequel the Kill Order to come out.
5 out of 5 stars!
